Spinner removed. Looks like a new hub, but it's just freshly overhauled.
The propeller hubs are forged aluminum alloy that is shot peened to to relieve any surface stress that might otherwise cause cracks to form.
The propeller was overhauled in 2003, but we may choose to overhaul it again as part of a hub replacement procedure.

Here the tech is inspecting the area as required by the AD. The holes for the hub weights as shown adjacent to the probe are the source of the cracks.
Checking around the blade shank as shown is not required by the AD, but a good tech is always thorough.
The nicest day so far this spring. Highs in the 70's and light winds -- a perfect day for flying.
